Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON, is seeking an Electrical Co-op to join our maintenance team. You will set up, install, repair and maintain machinery and electrical control systems, following safety rules and regulations.

Enrolled in a post-secondary technical field, you will work with PLC and CNC controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and welding. Automotive experience is a plus but not required. This on-site, full-time co-op offers hands-on learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary education in a technical field.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems.
• Welding and basic machining skills are an asset.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an asset, however not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits and other electrical components.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop.
• Keep inventory of parts necessary to perform.
• Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System are met.
• Other duties as required.
