Job summary

Alberta Pension Services Corporation is seeking an experienced eLearning Experience and Facilitation Specialist to design and deliver engaging pension-education programs for members and employers. You will translate complex pension information into clear, accessible learning experiences and support clients through virtual webinars and in-person sessions.

Travel across Alberta is required to deliver education sessions, with a focus on adult learning best practices and strong relationship-building

Qualifications

• Two or more years of facilitating workshops or seminars for diverse audiences.
• Strong facilitation and adult learning capabilities.
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service.
• Experience with pension plans and APS regulations.
• Proficient in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with LMS technologies.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Travel within Alberta required.

A typical day for the eLearning Experience and Facilitation Specialist

• Delivering informative and engaging virtual webinars and in-person sessions that support pension plan members and clients in making informed decisions.
• Helping members and employers understand pension benefits and processes by providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
• Collaborating with clients and team members to design practical and innovative educational resources that meet member needs.
• Developing customized eLearning solutions that strengthen learning outcomes, which may include:

  • online training development

Occasional travel throughout Alberta is required to deliver educational presentations and facilitate learning sessions for members and employers. Travel is planned in advance and occurs primarily during key education and engagement periods throughout the year.

What you bring

• At least two years of experience facilitating workshops or seminars for diverse audiences
• Strong facilitation skills and familiarity with best practices in adult learning
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive and respectful interactions
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Designand2-3 years experience in eLearning design and LMS experience
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Experience in instructional design and eLearning content development
• Familiarity with pension plans administered by APS, including relevant legislation and regulations
• Advanced skills in Articulate (Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong comprehension of LMS technology
• Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Online tools and resources
• Solid understanding of best practices for the use of technology-mediated learning.
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize work and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment within tight timelines
• Ability to understand complex information and re-write it in a suitable learning format
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license; use of a personal vehicle is required
• Travel in Alberta is a requirement of this position
