Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in reliability engineering. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of experience and will be responsible for analyzing data from various sources to predict equipment failures and guide the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Analysis: Analyze static, transactional, and cascading data obtained from Canadian assets to predict equipment or unit failures.
  2. Alarm Evaluation: Assess alarms from pressure transmitters and other devices to determine if they indicate real issues or faulty equipment.
  3. Trend Analysis: Develop, monitor, and interpret trends from multiple data streams, including calibration data sheets, P&ID diagrams, operational data, CMMS data, and PI Historian data.
  4. Reliability Assessment and Studies: Evaluate equipment functionality based on available data and provide reliability assessments.
  5. Criticality Assessment and Studies: Evaluate the criticality of equipment failures and recommend measures to prevent production losses.
  6. Maintenance Guidance: Communicate findings and trends to the maintenance team and suggest necessary actions.
  7. AI Integration: Utilize AI tools and the Asset Information Factory to enhance data analysis and generate insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in reliability engineering.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Ability to interpret and integrate data from multiple systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and data analysis software.
Desired Skills
  • Data analyst with Mechanical engineering degree and reliability experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and PI Historian systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
