Job Description
Position Overview: The Payroll and Compliance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, statutory compliance, attendance management, and vendor management within the organization. This role ensures adherence to labor laws and regulations, and oversees the payroll operations for a substantial workforce, utilizing our in-house CRM and payroll software.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliances:
- Licensing: Apply for new PT, LWF,EPF and ESIC registration. Also should be able to apply for state and central labour licence under CLRA
- Audit Compliance: Maintain compliance registers, including Muster Roll, Bonus Register, Overtime Register, and Contractor Register, along with salary sheets, bank transfer sheets, and other necessary documentation.
- Statutory challan and return preparation: Prepare and submit all the return including annual returns under the Factory Act and Shop & Establishment Act. Prepare and submit all the statutory challan including ESIC, EPF, LWF and PT etc.
- Registration of associates under EPF and ESIC. Ensure UAN generation and modification, including KYC updates for employees including claim settlement under EPF and ESIC.
- Government Liaison: Work with government departments (PF, ESIC, Labor Department) to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
Payroll Processing:
- Salary Calculation: Manage payroll processing, including deductions (EPF, ESIC, TDS) and additions (incentives, allowances, OT).
- To Check the income tax proof of income tax declaration
- Payroll Software: Utilize and manage our proprietary payroll software for accurate processing and reporting.
Audit And Reporting:
- Audits: Support the accounts department to the extent of payrolling and compliance. Further, Will be responsible for closing monthly audit of various client.
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare payroll reports, compliance reports, and other necessary documentation
- Client Interaction: To handle employees' and clients queries and provide the solutions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing CA (completed at least 1-2 levels).
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
