Job description

We have an exciting new Payroll Analyst role focusing on payroll administration for Ticketmaster employees in Canada. Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems, this individual will partner with the central payroll team at Live Nation and lead the HR Shared Services team on global payroll solutions, including system standardization efforts. International experience is a major plus. The role aims to drive efficiencies and develop policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about service and a payroll superstar.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  1. Troubleshoot HR and manager issues to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Collaborate across teams to streamline payroll processes.
  3. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reconciliation across systems.
  4. Process special payments (bonuses, reimbursements, awards, commissions) in Workday.
  5. Manage timekeeping data, calculate overtime, holiday pay, retro pay, and coordinate with payroll.
  6. Reconcile employee wages each pay period for accuracy.
  7. Assist with RRSP deductions on special payments.
  8. Coordinate data delivery to third parties and manage pay period brokerings.
  9. Partner with the Live Nation payroll team to validate payroll accuracy for Ticketmaster employees.
  10. Calculate and deduct applicable employee payroll deductions, including taxes.
  11. Ensure compliance with provincial payroll regulations.
  12. Conduct periodic payroll audits and coordinate corrections.
  13. Support payroll across other markets (e.g., USA) with solutions and process improvements.
  14. Provide QA support for system changes or upgrades.
  15. Own and complete complex and sensitive projects as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
  1. 3+ years supporting and administering Canadian payroll.
  2. Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or similar, in progress is acceptable.
  3. Membership with the National Payroll Institute.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLookup, pivot tables).
  5. Experience with ADP WorkforceNow.
  6. Experience processing US and other international payrolls.
  7. Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and legislation.
  8. Understanding of absence laws and regulations in Canada.
