LeverageTek is actively seeking a Payroll Clerk for a 6 to 9-month contract opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Remote

Key Tasks

• Process payroll runs
• Enter, update, and verify employee data and timesheets
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve errors in a timely manner
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data accuracy
• Assist the Payroll Manager with reporting and ad hoc tasks

Key Qualifications

• Must have 4 to 5 years experience supporting the processing of payroll across multiple business units
• Must have experience and solid knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and systems
• Must have experience with Payroll Systems

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, including Canadian payroll (U.S. payroll experience is a strong asset)
• Experience with high-volume, multi-entity payrolls
• Proficiency in payroll systems; Dayforce and Deltek Vision are strong assets
• Strong Excel and data management skills
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation and best practices
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or in progress of completion is a strong asset
• Confident working with senior people
