Responsibilities
- Maintain leadership, training and development of branch sales effort, including management of sales representatives
- Develop key customers and target accounts with ongoing growth to meet or exceed expectations
- Assist the General Manager in developing the sales budget
- Coordinate with internal staff (Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehousing, Accounting, Sales) to maximize customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and promote a customer service mentality
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to specific customers
- Travel as required for company meetings, including overnight stays
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of sales experience in competitive markets; supervisory experience preferred
- Experience selling outsourcing programs, especially with food service distributors and multi-location chains, is highly preferred
- Ability to understand market dynamics and deploy resources effectively
- Proficient in PC skills; AS400 / iSeries experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with executive management
- Proven ability to contact and present to key decision-makers within customer organizations
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
- Self-starter with leadership qualities and creativity to motivate teams
- Team-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
