What’s the Role?

As a Key Account Manager, you will work with a dedicated team to manage a regional territory of large, strategic, and complex accounts. You will represent all ZEISS products and services, develop business relationships, and identify growth opportunities. Your responsibilities include developing proposals, understanding client needs, coordinating with internal experts, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers.
  2. Monitor market dynamics and competitive environment to identify opportunities.
  3. Understand stakeholder needs within hospital/clinic environments and promote ZEISS products accordingly.
  4. Identify practice development needs and plan resource allocation.
  5. Leverage the full Ophthalmology product portfolio in sales solutions.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop synergy opportunities.
  7. Conduct sales presentations and develop business plans for stakeholders.
  8. Ensure successful implementation and follow-up of solutions.
  9. Educate clinical staff on product benefits and promote ZEISS solutions.
  10. Attend trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
  11. Achieve or exceed revenue goals and KPIs.
  12. Provide sales forecasts and feedback on trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 2 years of surgical capital equipment or consumable sales experience.
  • Proven experience in Key/Strategic Account Management.
  • Experience with government RFPs and contracts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
