Job Opportunity: ETL Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week)

Mode: Contract

Type: Independent (T4)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Business Analyst with strong data testing skills, particularly in Wealth Management or Trade Applications, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Broadridge or similar trade platform data structures and be capable of leading requirements gathering and technical specification documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand application data flow and processing in Wealth Management or Trade Applications.
2. Work with Broadridge / Trade Platform EBCDIC file structures or similar (e.g., ISM).
3. Develop high-level requirements outlining principles and rationale for data sanitization.
4. Write detailed technical extract specifications, including headers, trailers, and non-functional requirements such as security.
5. Create reconciliation requirements to verify data integrity between received and generated files.
6. Collaborate on the development of specifications for new data files.
7. Lead meetings and facilitate stakeholder engagement with strong communication and presentation skills.
8. Conduct pre-research and prepare initial requirements for discussion.
9. Develop PowerPoint decks to present high-level requirements, potential solutions, and decision-making considerations.
10. Drive requirements gathering independently with minimal oversight.
11. Analyze current processes and define future state solutions, providing rationale for selected approaches.
12. Document comprehensive business requirements, including data attributes and API specifications, incorporating stakeholder input.

Qualifications:

• Strong ETL and Data Testing experience.
• Knowledge of Broadridge / Trade Platform data structures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead requirements sessions and technical documentation.
• Self-driven with strong analytical and organizational skills.
