Position : Business Consultant Level 3

of Positions : 2

Business Consultants at Experience Level 3 are expected to demonstrate the ability to :

• Identify, define, model, and document business needs, including technical solutions, business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Define and document product requirements and funding for development and support.
• Develop presentations, reports, and submissions for approvals and funding.
• Interact professionally with diverse roles to develop and implement automated processes, service agreements, service management processes, training materials, and application support.
• Manage the quality of delivered solutions, ensuring compliance with standards, monitoring project progress, and obtaining approvals.

The Senior Business Analyst should have :

• At least 2 years of recent relevant experience defining and documenting business requirements.
• At least 4 years of experience working with diverse stakeholders to develop automated business processes.
• 1 year of experience working with front-line clients in service delivery organizations.
• 3 years of experience with agile teams using Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in testing, including writing test cases, conducting functional testing, and supporting UAT.
• Experience with integrated custom applications and complex processes.
• Knowledge of BC Registries and Digital Services.

High-rated candidates will be interviewed, providing examples and resources demonstrating their skills and experience as senior business and information design consultants.

Additional skills and experience required :

• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in requirements facilitation.
• Experience in gathering, developing, and documenting new business processes and continuous improvements.
• Experience in creating and delivering training.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, business cases, and process flow diagramming.
• Understanding of usability issues and web-based applications.
• Knowledge of BC Registries and Digital Services.

Preferred additional skills :

• Experience with BC Registries Modernization Initiative.
• Experience in creating technical documentation, diagrams, RFCs, and writing release communications.
• Knowledge of application design, development lifecycle, and IT security.
