Job description

TRS is seeking a dedicated Field Operations Manager for one of our mining clients to oversee all site activities and ensure efficient and effective management of site logistics, contractor activities, and project management. This role necessitates effective collaboration with the on-site exploration team and the capability to assertively address issues when required. The ideal candidate will have experience in drill pads, exploration and have worked with First Nations groups.

Location : BC remote area

Site details : Camp-based assignment, cross shift role

Fly-in / fly-out, flexible working on a regular rotational schedule of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work closely with the exploration team to facilitate the exploration program and ensure seamless field operations.
• Implement and oversee contractor and risk management programs, manage site camp operations, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Address contractor-related conflicts, manage site orientation and onboarding practices, and oversee community statistics and KPI reporting.
• Plan and oversee project logistics, resource allocation, and inventory / supply chain management.

Must Haves :

• Willingness to work in a camp-based setting with a cross shift schedule.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the exploration team on-site.
• Capability to push back when needed to maintain operational standards.
• Proven experience in managing drill pads and exploration activities.
• Experience working with First Nations groups.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mining, or a related field (diploma may be considered with relevant experience).
• At least 8 years of experience in site operations and camp management within the mining and exploration industry.
• MUST HAVE Mining & Metals background.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite; familiarity with project management software is beneficial.
