Position: Compensation & Benefits Specialist (Total Rewards)

LHH is looking for a dynamic Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join a growing company and their People Operations team to help drive their Total Rewards programs forward.

- Provide analytical support to HR leadership through research, reporting, metric tracking, and actionable recommendations.
- Perform compensation analysis and recommend salary adjustments to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Partner with People Ops to deliver timely and accurate compensation program elements.
- Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate job leveling and alignment with company policies.
- Lead and support Total Rewards initiatives as we scale our people operations.
- Manage complex and confidential projects independently from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain documentation for compensation programs and policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements in partnership with People Ops.
- Ensure compliance of compensation programs with legal requirements and internal standards through regular audits.
- Provide ad hoc compensation analytics to stakeholders.
- Manage participation in market surveys, ensuring accurate job matching and market analysis.
- Support compliance efforts, including ACA reporting, 401(k) audits, nondiscrimination testing, etc.
Benefits Administration & Strategy
- Partner with HR leadership on benefits strategy development and execution.
- Manage and communicate retirement plan details, including 401(k) administration and ERISA compliance.
- Oversee reconciliation and billing of health and welfare benefits to maintain accuracy and control costs.
- Manage the annual TIP Program, from eligibility to record-keeping.
- Support the delivery and administration of benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSAs, COBRA, and more.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure program compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with management to improve benefit offerings and streamline processes.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure service standards are met or exceeded.
- Maintain a general understanding of all insurance offerings and HR policies.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in compensation and benefits, ideally within a high-growth, agile organization.
- Strong background in market analysis and compensation benchmarking.
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
- Experience navigating complex, matrixed environments.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
