Job summary

St. Albert Public Schools is recruiting a full-time, probationary Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) for a position at Wild Rose Elementary School. Assignment and/or location may change based on needs. Hours: 30.0 hrs/week, 6.0 hrs/day, Monday–Friday.

Hourly rate: $25.89 per hour as per CUPE Collective Agreement. Applicants should provide education level, certificates, training, and relevant experience. A Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check is required for new employees.

Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing PBS plan strategies.
• Formal post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
• Experience using assistive technology in learning support is an asset.
• Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience supporting diverse learning and behavioral needs, incl. autism.
• Strong skills in managing student behavior respectfully.
• Supervision duties required.
• Preference for candidates with Division 1/Division 2 experience.
