Job summary

PCL Industrial Management Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist superintendents and project managers with administrative duties on one large or multiple projects.

The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and supporting cost control and quality. You will work in a fast-paced construction environment, liaising with design teams, trade contractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in construction or related field.
• Construction management or engineering degree/diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling techniques and means.
• Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
• Understanding of construction law and building codes.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
• Reviews trade contractor work and provides day-to-day direction.
• Maintains subcontract administration, defines work scope and monitors progress.
• Assists with design reviews and suggests construction methods or materials.
• Maintains project scheduling and costing systems.
• Supports timely responses to submittals and commissioning needs.
• Assists in managing project performance across HSE, cost, schedule and quality.
• Coordinates site inspections and ensures compliance with AHJ requirements.
• Develops and monitors overall project timeline.
• Prepares tender packages and subcontracts and tracks their progress.
• Maintains project document control and RFIs/submittal processes.
• Coordinates inventory and material orders.
