Job summary

PCL Construction Management Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Buildings) is seeking a Field Engineer/Coordinator to support drawings, specifications and site activities on impactful projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with the project team and self-perform coordination where applicable.

The candidate will bring a bachelor’s or diploma in a related field, 2–3 years of field coordination experience, and strong communication and organizational skills to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field.
• Progressive field coordinator experience of 2–3 years is preferred.
• Strong ability to understand and apply construction principles, specifications, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Update drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate inventory, timesheets, costs and quantities.
• Develop, implement and monitor the quality plan, conduct inspections and address issues on-site.
• Conduct basic safety inspections, train staff, attend meetings and model safe practices.
• Support project team with subtrade management, RFIs, shop drawings, changes and billings, and provide day-to-day direction.
• Assist with schedules and monitor trade performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
