The Opportunity
We seek a skilled Azure Cloud Systems Administrator with strong Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise to join our IT team. You will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing our Azure cloud infrastructure and ensuring seamless IAM across systems.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure VMs, storage, networking, and cloud services.
- Manage and monitor Azure resources with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud applications.
- Manage Azure Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity solutions.
- Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Support Azure networking, including VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and firewalls.
- Administer and maintain Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including identity governance, access policies, and conditional access.
- Implement and manage SSO, MFA, and PIM within Azure AD.
- Oversee user provisioning, deprovisioning, and RBAC for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Monitor and enforce IAM security best practices.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD B2C, and Azure AD Connect for hybrid identity synchronization.
- Collaborate with security teams on Zero Trust Architecture and identity threat detection.
- Implement and manage Azure RBAC, conditional access policies, and just-in-time access.
- Support integration of IAM solutions with third-party apps, SaaS platforms, and cloud services.
- Automate IAM processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC tools like Terraform.
- Conduct security audits, compliance assessments, and risk analysis related to IAM.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure, security, and IAM advancements.
What You'll Need
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years in Systems Administration (Azure cloud).
- 2–3+ years in IAM or related IT security roles.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud IAM (Azure AD, AWS IAM).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Knowledge of security protocols like SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP, CIAM, CISM, ITIL or similar.
Key Metrics for Success
- Timely resolution of access tickets and incidents.
- Successful IAM process improvements and automation.
