Responsibilities Include
- Produce electrical and civil design drawings in AutoCAD, Map3D, and Civil 3D under the guidance of a Senior Electrical Engineer and/or Senior Drafting Manager.
- Review third-party drawings such as civil, architectural, landscape, and onsite electrical for conflicts and information as required by the project.
- Ensure the accuracy and availability of filed drawings through proper filing (electronic and paper).
- Interpret GIS information.
- Understand and apply electrical and civil standards while drafting designs and other work.
- Import surveys and other data into drawings as required.
- Conduct site surveys for record drawing creation using SPECTRA survey technology.
- Create and develop project construction packages.
- Prepare documentation and track the status of projects.
- Obtain stakeholder approval from utilities and municipalities.
- Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Work with senior team members to maintain drafting tools, processes, and templates.
- Perform other duties as required.
Ideal Candidates Possess
- Computer Aided Drafting Engineering Technology Certificate or Diploma from a recognized college is preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil construction.
- Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Office, and related products.
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to liaise with other disciplines (Engineering, Construction, and subcontractors) to ensure drawings are spatially accurate, standards-compliant, and reliable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Desire to learn and take on new challenges.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
- Class 5 driver’s license.

Hiring range: $26.69/hr – $35/hr
