Role Summary:

As the Territory Sales Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our sales success within your designated territory, Edmonton and Northern AB. Your mission will be to build and nurture relationships with key customers and business partners, ensure our beers are front-and-center in retail and on-premise locations, and drive sales by executing brilliant strategies. With your expert product knowledge and passion for craft beer, you’ll help us achieve volume, revenue, and distribution targets while ensuring Tool Shed Brewing stays top-of-mind in every bar, restaurant, and liquor store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Relationships:Foster strong relationships with retail, on-premise, and distributor partners, while continuously growing Tool Shed’s presence and market share.
  • Retail & On-Premise Execution:Ensure the best possible execution of our products in-store and at restaurants/bars. Make sure displays, placements, and merchandising reflect the Tool Shed brand and help drive sales.
  • Product Knowledge Mastery:Stay ahead of the game by continually building your expertise on Tool Shed’s full product lineup, including new releases, as well as the competitive landscape of craft and non-alcoholic beers.
  • Sales Targets & Reporting:Meet and exceed volume, revenue, and distribution targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Develop and adjust action plans as needed to hit those goals.
  • Product Rotation & Quality Control:Ensure that product is rotated properly on shelves and date codes are checked to ensure consumers receive the best possible experience.
  • Pricing & Compliance:Audit pricing in-store to ensure compliance
  • Competitive Activity Monitoring:Keep an eye on the competitive landscape and report on any significant activities that could impact Tool Shed’s position in the market.
  • Collaborate with the Team:Work closely with our internal sales team, marketing, and operations departments to support growth initiatives and share insights.
  • Customer Visit Schedule:Develop a comprehensive schedule to ensure all customers within your territory are regularly visited and supported.
  • CRM Management:Track and log all sales activities, opportunities, and relationships in our CRM system.
  • Event Support & Activation:Execute trade events, beer tastings, product launches, and other marketing initiatives. Your passion and energy will help bring our brand to life at these events.
  • Physical Requirements:Be prepared to lift, push, or pull up to 50 kg of product when needed, as well as assist with deliveries and product merchandising.
  • Extra Effort:Pitch in for special projects and events outside regular business hours to support brand awareness and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Sales & Relationship Experience:Proven success in sales or customer service, with a strong ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships. Preference given to those with direct experience in alcoholic beverage wholesale sales.
  • Results-Driven:You’re motivated by achieving goals and targets, and you know how to make things happen.
  • Self-Starter:You’re independent, self-motivated, and thrive when given the autonomy to make decisions.
  • Excellent Communicator:You can talk beer, business, and everything in between with ease.
  • ProServe Certified:You are certified to handle and promote alcohol responsibly in Alberta.
  • Valid Drivers Licence:This role will require daily commuting to different areas of Calgary and beyond, so a reliable vehicle and valid driver licence is required.
  • Strong Organizational Skills:You’re excellent at managing time, setting priorities, and keeping detailed records in CRM software.
  • Physical Ability:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 kg and can assist with product delivery and merchandising when needed.
  • Passion and knowledge for the Craft:Above all, you have an unshakeable passion for craft beer and the communities we serve
  • Flexibility:Occasional weekend or evening work is required for trade events, tastings, and product launches.
