About the role
The Claims OPL team is a dynamic team at the heart of the different business sectors, ensuring a strong link between the different IT teams and the requirements of the business lines for all IFC companies.
We are currently looking for a Guidewire Product Owner (PO). The Product Owner leads the development effort by driving the vision to an Agile team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.

What you’ll do here :
- Be the primary contact for the delivery team for information, work prioritization, and decision making.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary agile team from idea generation to execution.
- Lead, plan, and track the product through all phases of the lifecycle from project inception to market introduction.
- Responsible for the evolution of the product.
- Partner with teams and managers to gather requirements and facilitate projects.
- May be responsible for more than one product or product category.
- Responsible for aligning with other POs and managing cross-team dependencies.
- Responsible for managing inter-project priority conflicts, small requests, and production defects.
- Responsible for approving monthly releases and ensuring a high level of quality.
- Prepare user stories and manage the backlog, creating value for both the business and our representatives.
- Ensure planning, facilitate demos, and participate in committees and retrospectives.
- Ensure that products create a high level of engagement and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure delivery of products according to roadmaps.
- Integrate customer feedback and insights from performance measurement into product roadmaps.
- Act as an expert in product development and innovation.
- Contribute to and may participate in steering/steering committees to provide status on ongoing projects, small requests, and production defects.
What you bring to the table :
- 5 to 8 years of experience in product creation and delivery, team or project coordination.
- At least 3 years of claims experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the Guidewire Claim Centre application or Guidewire suite of products (asset).
- Knowledge of claims processes and eco-systems.
- Very good knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of Jira, Teams, Confluence tools.
- CSPO or PSPO certified.
- Ability to make powerful presentations and facilitate workshops.
- Very good understanding of the technical aspects of design and development.

- Ability to lead a team, facilitate scrums and conduct prioritization workshops.
- Proven skills in project planning and management.
- Passionate about the user experience and a strong focus on operational efficiency.
- Diplomat, able to influence and excellent at developing and maintaining relationships.
- Positive, creative, analytical, and curious.
- No Canadian work experience required, but need to have authorization to work in Canada.
