Job summary

Job description

The Endoscopy Technician assists the nurse with setting up equipment and supplies in procedure rooms and maintaining endoscopes and equipment per manufacturer guidelines. Working under close supervision, this role supports the nurse and physician during procedures with necessary devices and disinfects equipment accordingly.

Responsibilities :

  • Supports the nurse and physician by preparing procedures and organizing room turnover to ensure readiness for endoscopic procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, including endoscopes, and reports malfunctions.
  • Observes patient changes to support needs and reports findings to medical staff.
  • Handles hospital communication, relaying messages and information.
  • Assists patients with toileting, dressing, and transportation within the hospital.
  • Collects bodily fluid specimens for medical analysis.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience : Preferred : 1 year
  • Licensure / Certification : BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
