Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Alberta is seeking a full-time speech-language support assistant for a 10-month contract. The role offers an hourly wage of 25–30 CAD and emphasizes no evenings or weekends, supporting children with diverse needs within BrightPath Kids center.

You will work closely with a speech-language therapist, plan developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborate with families and the daycare team. A vehicle and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in child care or working with children with diverse learning or developmental delays.
• Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues.
• Access to reliable vehicle and a driver’s license.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• CPR & First Aid certification is required.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Completing follow through on each child’s speech goals.
• Assisting speech and language therapist with implementation.
• Planning and implementing programming based on the needs of the child.
• Effectively communicating and building a relationship with children and families.
• Collaborate with day care team.
• Other duties as assigned.
