Job summary

The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary team in Edmonton. The role involves assessment, development, implementation and monitoring of neurodiversity-affirming speech-language services for Autistic and neurodivergent individuals and families.

Qualifications

• Active licensure with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current professional liability insurance.
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
• Valid certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement, deliver, and monitor neurodiversity-affirming speech-language services.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team with OT, BCBA, and PT as needed.
• Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments to guide practice.
• Deliver evidence-based practices in naturalistic settings with family involvement.
• Use coaching models to build capacity in families and communities.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation on time.
• Travel within Edmonton and surrounding area; mileage reimbursed.

Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes an Occupational Therapist, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and a Physical Therapist as needed.

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, delivery, and/or monitoring of neurodiversity-affirming services related to their area of expertise.

• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team through the provision of expertise in speech language pathology
• Select and conduct standardized/non-standardized assessments to support diagnostic services and/or guide clinical practice
• Deliver a variety of evidence-based practices in naturalistic, person-directed settings
• Use evidence-based coaching models to build capacity in family members and community organizations
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with individuals, families, and community organizations receiving services
• Promote and support inclusive programming across home, school, and community environments.
• Write and maintain accurate service records ensuring all required documentation timelines are met
• Travel within Edmonton and surrounding area is required (mileage is reimbursed)
