Qualifications

• Child care certification: Level 1, 2 or 3 is required.
• Valid First Aid Certification.
• Cleared criminal Record Check (CRIM) and Child Intervention Check (CYIM).
• Have working knowledge and/or experience of speech and language services and supports, or willing to learn.
• Comfortable working with families and referring agencies with children needing extra supports.
• Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Warm and empathetic attitude towards children and families.
• Actively encourages and engages in meaningful interactions with children.
• Conducts self professionally as an individual, within a team and with families.
• Has knowledge and appreciation of the Indigenous culture.
• Be available to work between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday to Friday with ocassional Frida.
