Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Mahogany, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work alongside teachers and families, providing a home away from home for children in our care.

You will develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum, promote child development, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom. Collaboration with families and ongoing professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education certification or equivalent required.
• Must meet province childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum-based program for child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Assess children's abilities and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Support and maintain classroom materials and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well‑being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co‑workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
