Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Alberta is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work alongside teachers and families, providing a home away from home for children in our care.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum, maintaining a safe environment, assessing children's progress with parents and staff, and collaborating with colleagues. You will also attend PD sessions, keep materials organized, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Level 2 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum to support children's development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children.
• Assess abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
