Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Sherwood Park, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3 to work with teachers and families. You'll implement BrightPath’s curriculum, support children's development, and maintain a safe, clean classroom.

This full-time role offers a 40% childcare discount for staff, tuition reimbursement, RRSP with company match, six sick days, ten holidays, and health benefits. Evening/weekend free schedule applies.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 2 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid with infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum-aligned program.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assess development and discuss progress with families and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
