Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join the Southwood East, AB centre. You will implement BrightPath's curriculum to support children’s development and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities include assessing each child’s needs, communicating progress with families and staff, and collaborating with a team. You will participate in meetings and professional development while ensuring cleanliness and organization of materials.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 3 certification or B.Ed./Equivalent required.
• Must meet province childcare requirements; current First Aid & infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath's curriculum to support children’s development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children’s well-being.
• Assess children’s abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $17 - $19 per hour, Government Wage Enhancement offered on top of hourly rate

• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.

• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
