Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Manotick, ON is seeking a Casual/Supply/Substitute ECE assistant to join BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care. This role offers daytime hours with no evenings or weekends, and a supportive team within the Busy Bees childcare community.

You’ll assist in the classroom, support children's activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The position emphasizes teamwork with families and staff, ongoing professional development, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required, plus Early Childhood Assistant Certification or Registered ECE
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Interact with children to encourage participation.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development when required.
• Support program planning and material preparation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
