Are you an experienced lean practitioner seeking a significant challenge? Fluor’s leadership is committed to transforming project execution with lean principles, methods, and techniques applied holistically. Join our energetic team of coaches, developing lean capabilities across all aspects of the project value chain—engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction.

Role Responsibilities
  • Improve lean thinking and execution capabilities of project teams from front line to senior leadership.
  • Build lean capabilities on projects with complex technical elements, multiple design and construction partners, and global distribution.
  • Coach and mentor development in areas such as Lean Design and Engineering, Target Value Design, Set Based Design, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work, Continuous Estimating, Visual Management, Co-design, Integrated Project Delivery, Workforce Organization, Last Planner System, Lean Supply Systems, Choosing By Advantages, Fabrication and Construction as Design Partners, Production Preparation, Organizing by Value Streams, among others.
Candidate Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the location of the role.
  • Accredited four-year degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with 12+ years of experience, or 16+ years if non-degreed.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience applying Lean methodologies within Design and Engineering functions.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the job, ability to learn applicable laws and guidelines, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor leaders and design/engineering staff in lean methods.
  • Support global Lean deployment and transformation efforts.
  • Create opportunities for lean activities such as Kaizen, Toyota Kata, and employee ideas.
  • Develop and impart Lean training to all organizational levels.
  • Report progress and collaborate with the Lean Guiding Coalition.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $111,000 to $215,000. The market rate typically at the mid-point, with final salary influenced by qualifications, experience, location, and market conditions.

Benefits include competitive compensation, health and dental coverage, flexible spending, retirement plans, parental top-up, education reimbursement, employee assistance programs, and more. The Canada offices operate on a compressed schedule with every second Friday off.
