Our PMO team supports multiple delivery modes. As a Project Manager, you will have at least 5 years of experience leading technology projects with a proven track record of delivering on time, within scope and budget. You will also have practical Scrum Master experience, guiding hybrid teams towards efficient and successful delivery while fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, primarily from the Vancity head office and your Lower Mainland home office, with periodic in-person events or activities.

The role:

1. Lead cross-functional teams through the end-to-end project lifecycle to achieve business objectives.
2. Facilitate Scrum processes as a servant leader for Agile teams, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
3. Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and system implementors, managing their performance against contractual requirements.
4. Plan and deliver complex projects within scope, budget, and timeline, following Vancity's project delivery methodologies.
5. Build relationships with sponsors and senior stakeholders to align business needs and project outcomes, proactively managing issues.
6. Present to Steering Committees and senior leadership, communicating clearly and following up proactively.
7. Select appropriate implementation methodologies based on project nature and organizational factors; resolve delivery dependencies.
8. Monitor delivery metrics and strive for continuous improvement in quality, velocity, and time to market.
9. Coach and mentor project team resources, fostering accountability and positive action.
10. Contribute to enterprise-wide project management best practices, ensuring consistency and transparency.
11. Communicate effectively with project teams and manage project integration and coordination.

• A minimum of 5 years delivering technology initiatives
• PMP or similar certification

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in Financial Services or FinTech industries
• PMI Disciplined Agile (DA) certification
• IIBA certification
• Organizational Change Management training like Prosci
