About the role
As a Claims Consultant in our Property Large Loss team, you will handle multi-line complex claims through all distribution channels. You will be responsible for the direct handling and monitoring of complex first party and third-party claims with exposures in Canada and Internationally. The types of losses may include Commercial Property, Energy, Equipment Breakdown, Environmental Liability and additional Specialty Claims. The Claims Consultant performs the settlement of complex claims, civil liability or property damage, plays a fundamental role in managing the processes surrounding disputes or alternative dispute resolution bodies, undertakes the functions of analysis and evaluation of claims, liability and provisions and contribute to unit priorities, including providing expertise as needed, mentoring and participating in the budget process.
