General Job Description

Responsible for overseeing assigned civil construction projects from tendering through project completion.

Specific Operational Roles and Responsibilities:

Tendering

• Prepare for pre-tender meetings.
• Attend pre-tender meetings as required.
• Inspect tender documentation, analyze requirements, and identify contractual implications.
• Arrange site inspections, make notes, photographs, and incorporate information into tender pricing.
• Identify project constraints prior to tender submission.
• Provide detailed take-offs and compare quote analyses.
• Coordinate site inspections, gather information, and obtain pricing.
• Complete and submit tenders on time, analyze results for future bids.

Operational

• Upload cost codes, manage time cards, review project status, and communicate with teams.
• Perform site visits, identify additional work, and report to Operations Manager.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare daily reports, and manage project documentation.

Billings

• Manage monthly progress and force account billings.
• Track, submit, and follow up on invoices and change orders.

Procurement

• Order materials, verify invoices, and ensure timely delivery.

VIZZN

• Upload project maps, photos, and update project schedules and safety forms.

Analysis

• Monitor costs, review project profitability, and conduct post-project reviews.

Relationships

• Develop client relationships, attend industry events, and maintain stakeholder relations.

Meeting Obligations

• Attend scheduled meetings including weekly, pre-tender, and site meetings.

Reporting to

• Division Manager with regular reports on job costing, project status, and progress.

Limits of Authority

• Approval limits for purchase orders, contracts, and event attendance.
