Job description

Are you a Project Manager with experience managing complex projects across multiple departments? Our large Alberta-based financial client is seeking a Project Manager for a 9-month contract.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Manage complex projects from initiation to completion, focusing on scope, timelines, and budget. Handle 3-4 projects simultaneously, balancing technical and soft skills. Understand risk, security, and technical issues, without necessarily being a CISSP.
2. Process Adherence: Follow established project management processes, adapting as needed.
3. Data Analysis: Analyze project data to inform decisions, proactively identify risks, and recommend resource, budget, or schedule adjustments.
4. Effective Communication: Provide clear updates and engage stakeholders effectively, tailoring messages to different audiences.
5. Change Management: Implement changes considering project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams for integrated project execution.
7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
8. Risk Management: Identify and assess risks, develop risk response plans aligned with organizational risk appetite.
9. Multitasking and Prioritization: Manage multiple projects, determining priorities effectively during periods of uncertainty.

Qualifications:

Intermediate to senior Project Manager with strong reporting skills, solid understanding of project fundamentals (schedule, scope, budget), and ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to 'speak' risk & security concepts is required, but not necessarily CISSP certification.
