Job description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for aManager, FP&Ato join our very established and stable client in the logistics and transportation industry. This is a newly created role as they continue to grow and create opportunities. We are seeking a results-driven and forward-thinking professional to join their dynamic finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional with a deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics in a complex, asset-intensive environment. This leadership role is central to guiding financial strategy through insightful analysis, robust modeling, and collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience navigating enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the organization’s annual budgeting process, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and maintain long-term financial projections, including operating, capital, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting and audit support documentation, including preparation and review of working papers.
  • Create and maintain financial models to support both ongoing operations and strategic initiatives, including contract evaluations.
  • Champion process improvements across the finance function, streamlining reporting and enhancing system capabilities.
  • Leverage modern financial tools and data platforms to develop dashboards, reports, and insights that drive performance.
  • Participate in and provide financial leadership on cross-functional technology and ERP-related initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as needed within the scope of the finance function.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within an industrial or transportation environment.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and business analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with JD Edwards or a similar ERP system.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across departments.

Rewards:

  • $120,000-$130,000
