About the Role

IATA is seeking a dynamic individual to lead the development and execution of data science and AI strategies to drive business growth and innovation. Reporting to the Principal Safety and Operational Analytics, the Senior Manager will manage the rollout of IATA Safety and Operational Data Analytics offerings, including consulting activities and advanced projects within the IATA Trusted Research Environment.

Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy: Implement and execute the commercial strategy for Safety and Operational Analytics.
2. Product Development: Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions and participate in product development related to data analytics and AI.
3. Market Planning: Develop go-to-market strategies for Data Science and AI solutions.
4. Opportunity Management: Identify and respond to commercial opportunities, develop proposals, and negotiate projects.
5. Project Oversight: Manage execution of consultancy projects with cross-functional teams.
6. Financial Planning: Prepare budgets, financial reports, and updates.
7. Research & Development: Engage in R&D activities to advance data science and AI initiatives.
8. Promotion: Promote offerings at industry events to increase uptake.

Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in customer-focused Data Science and AI solutions; aviation sector experience is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in selling data solutions.
• Proficiency in machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, and programming.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proven project management and team collaboration skills.
