Job description

We are an agri-food processing company, a leader in the production of apple and fruit puree, employing more than 300 people in the MRC Haut-Saint-Laurent region. We are currently seeking an Electromechanic (2 days / 1 night shift).

Role and Responsibilities

The Electromechanic will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, refurbishing, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Duties include:

1. Knowing and complying with quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies.
2. Installing, aligning, dismantling, and moving industrial machinery or equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, boilers, following plans and using manual and electric tools.
3. Inspecting machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and failures proactively.
4. Reading blueprints, diagrams, schematics, documents, and procedures to determine work procedures.
5. Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
6. Using machining tools like lathes and grinders to fabricate necessary parts.
7. Performing routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating machinery and premises.
8. Troubleshooting and replacing motors.
9. Replacing photocells with wiring.
10. Performing minor electrical repairs.
11. Performing all other related tasks.
