Job Description

The technician will troubleshoot, repair, audit, service, start up, and modify equipment at various customers' production and manufacturing facilities. The equipment includes industrial cabinet x-ray systems used in the food industry for contaminant detection, serving as quality control and food safety tools. The technician provides technical support on-site, remotely, or from our Vancouver, WA office. Relying on experience, training, and judgment, technicians plan and accomplish their goals. The company provides training and support for all employees, regardless of experience. All necessary tools and equipment are supplied by the company.

Job Duties:

• Perform services, start-ups, training, and provide technical support for industrial equipment.
• Quote parts, facilitate delivery, and install equipment.
• Document all maintenance, certifications, issues, and solutions related to the equipment.
• Conduct testing in our lab.
• Assess equipment performance based on field experience and recommend upgrades to improve customer production and satisfaction.
• Provide advanced remote support (telephone, email, online) for technical issues.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of products and peripheral systems.
• Conduct on-site application-specific and general machine training.
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines for the employer and various manufacturing and product facilities.

Education and Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in service or electronics industries is beneficial but not required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
• Highly computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, networking, and system integration.

Requirements:

• Availability to travel and work outside standard Monday-Friday hours for both planned and last-minute services. The service area includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Montana, with occasional travel to other states and internationally. Expected travel is approximately 50%.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work overtime if necessary.
• Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Clean driving record.
