Job Title: Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant (14-Month Term)

Location: G3 Saskatoon West

Working under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director & Manager, the Quality Assurance Administrative Assistant will be responsible for completion of all business and administrative functions within Quality Assurance. Key objectives include managing all payables accurately and promptly, maintaining an efficient and well-organized office; providing excellent customer service in all respects; and contributing to a good working relationship between all G3 staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model and ensure universal adherence to corporate health and safety policies, environmental standards and industry regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Participate with the QA team in developing QA Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and training.
  • Document and track employee grading level and development plan at all G3 facilities (elevators and terminals), schedule training accordingly
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes, opportunities for cost reductions, and help develop and implement useful reports for management and staff.
  • Provide information and assist on items such as inventory in store at Quebec, Thunder Bay and Vancouver.
  • Track all shipments leaving inland, headed to port terminals
  • Order specialized products for all terminals and ports
  • Monitor and update vessel shipments while loading, compile all data of vessels per year
  • Manage and maintain database of WOOCs (Wheats of other classes) shipped
  • Maintain QA dashboard of round robin samples, results and further training requirements
  • Schedule and assist with performing weigh over audits at inland and port terminals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years industry experience preferred
  • Ability to execute high level of volume with accuracy
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and general accounting procedures
  • Highly detail oriented with effective communication and time management skills
  • High level of customer service
  • Ability to work in a challenging, changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve
