  • Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees who telework will be required to travel to the work site at least three times per week or a minimum of 60% of their schedule at their own expense. The Role

We are seeking a Senior Investigator to support our Security Branch. The ideal candidate shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect, and Creativity. This role involves leading investigations into security-related incidents, analyzing information from security monitoring tools and third-party providers, and managing highly confidential investigations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with NRC policies.

Screening Criteria
Education

College diploma or relevant post-secondary education, or equivalent experience in security investigations. Certifications in investigation techniques and case management are assets.

Experience
  • Extensive experience responding to and investigating security incidents.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, and identifying root causes.
  • Experience managing incident response processes, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Experience working with agencies such as CSIS, RCMP, SSC, and CSE.
  • Basic experience in security policy development, documentation, and training.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
Condition of Employment

Secret Clearance, requiring a thorough background check over 10 years.

Language Requirements

Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC.

Assessment Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated on technical competencies related to security operations and incident response, as well as behavioral competencies including client focus, communication, analytical ability, initiative, networking, and teamwork.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $95,264 to $106,676 annually, plus an $800 Bilingualism Bonus. NRC offers comprehensive benefits including pension, health and dental coverage, and more.
