Job Opening: Maintenance Technician at Westin

Role Overview:

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the exterior and interior facilities, including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, cooling, kitchen, structural, parking areas, and spa. You will perform preventive maintenance and ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

1. Advise supervisors of conditions affecting facility operations.
2. Familiarity with emergency procedures and adherence to hotel policies.
3. Perform repairs to maintain hotel operations.
4. Maintain all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
5. Record maintenance activities accurately.
6. Complete daily maintenance reports.
7. Conduct minor construction repairs and install new equipment.
8. Maintain tools and equipment properly.
9. Maintain pool and spa facilities.
10. Respond promptly to guest complaints.
11. Train less experienced personnel.
12. Follow safety rules, regulations, and policies.
13. Report unsafe conditions or injuries.
14. Set a good safety example.
15. Other duties as assigned.
16. Must pass a criminal record check.

Skills & Experience:

• Initiative, ownership, and understanding of maintenance operations.
• Experience with electrical, painting, and plumbing repairs in a commercial environment.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and in confined spaces.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and machinery operation.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly rate: $25.50
