Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance or the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for general cleanliness and basic maintenance of the property while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and supports Great Canadian's learning environment.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform general maintenance and repairs to site property and equipment.
2. Conduct regular compliance inspections and preventative maintenance.
3. Handle basic electrical repairs, including replacing burnt-out light bulbs and fixtures.
4. Perform plumbing repairs, such as maintenance of washroom fixtures and unclogging toilets and sinks.
5. Carry out wall repairs and painting.
6. Perform basic carpentry work.
7. Repair carpets and floors.
8. Maintain vacuum cleaners.
9. Set up and tear down special events, including moving furniture and tents.
10. Receive maintenance supplies, compare to orders, and organize storage.
11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
12. Follow safety procedures, use safety equipment, and report unsafe practices.
13. Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, guests, vendors, and regulators.
14. Adhere to departmental and HR policies related to this role.
15. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

1. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
2. Experience with pallet jacks and warehousing is an asset.
3. Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
4. Forklift and WHMIS certifications are assets.
5. Proficiency in understanding, speaking, and writing English.
6. Basic computer skills.
