Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance or the Maintenance Supervisor, this position handles general cleanliness and basic maintenance of the property, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for all team members. The role involves adhering to company policies, motivating and leading by example, and supporting a positive learning environment.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform general maintenance and repairs on site property and equipment.
2. Conduct regular compliance inspections and preventative maintenance.
3. Carry out basic electrical repairs, such as replacing burnt-out bulbs and fixtures.
4. Handle plumbing repairs, including maintenance of washroom fixtures and unclogging toilets and sinks.
5. Perform wall repairs and painting.
6. Conduct basic carpentry work.
7. Repair carpets and floors.
8. Maintain vacuum cleaners.
9. Set up and tear down for special events, including moving furniture and tents.
10. Receive maintenance supplies deliveries, verify orders, and organize storage.
11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
12. Follow safety procedures, use safety equipment, and identify unsafe practices.
13. Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, guests, ownership, team members, vendors, and regulators.
14. Comply with all relevant policies, licensing laws, health and safety regulations.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience.
• Experience with pallet jacks and warehousing is an asset.
• Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Basic computer skills.
