We are seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our team of driven professionals. This role is a full-time, in person position with hybrid options available. You will work closely alongside Senior Management in a fast-paced environment and incorporates various administrative, client care and rental management related tasks. The ideal candidate will be given the opportunity to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Handle tenant relations, inquires, complaints and requests promptly and professionally
  • Schedule and perform property showings and routine quarterly inspections professionally and accurately
  • Schedule and perform move in and move out inspections professionally and accurately
  • Assist in enforcing lease agreements, including lease renewals and rent collection
  • Assist in placing and monitoring residential and commercial rental advertisements on various platforms
  • Perform tenant screening and application processing for review by Senior Management
  • Assist in negotiating lease agreements and renewals while maintaining company values and policies
  • Assist in coordination and monitoring of trades and contractors as required
  • Assist with additional property management related tasks and projects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all rental property-rated activities
  • Perform data entry tasks related to tenant management
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks as directed by the Employer
  • Manage self and/or others to effectively complete tasks and projects
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective and professional communication

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Post-secondary diploma in Project Management, Business Administration, or similar is an asset
  • Real Estate or Construction industry experience is an asset
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Passionate and self-motivated
  • Ability to excel in a challenging environment
