Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor leads a team of professionals and trades staff to oversee multi-year facility capital planning, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, repairs, and caretaking services. The goal is to ensure safe, healthy, well-maintained, and efficient schools, grounds, and other facilities. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Operations/CFO, the Facilities Supervisor is part of the division's senior management team.

Qualifications and Success Factors

• A degree or designation in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with five to eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Project Management designation (PMP or CAPM) is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams of professional and administrative staff.
• Highly organized and analytical, with the ability to evaluate situations, consider alternatives, and implement solutions.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, considering both system standards and unique circumstances.
• Expertise in project planning, management, and control structures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, incorporating diverse perspectives.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of organizational development, human resources management, and PreK-12 program operations.
• Understanding of human resource practices, including hiring, development, management, succession planning, and performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of financial management principles applicable to large organizations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, respecting staff and student privacy.
