Pay Details:
$73,000 - $154,000 CAD

Job Description:

Layer 6 is the AI research Centre of Excellence for TD Bank Group. We develop and deploy industry-leading machine learning systems that impact the lives of over 27 million customers, helping more people achieve their financial goals and needs.

Our research broadly spans the field of machine learning with areas such as deep learning and generative AI, time series forecasting and responsible use of AI. We have access to massive financial datasets and actively collaborate with world renowned academic faculty.

We are always looking for people driven to be at the cutting edge of machine learning in research, engineering, and impactful applications. We are hiring for intermediate & senior level roles. The roles consist of (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Own the delivery of machine learning solutions, melding expertise in data science, technology, and product management to solve strategic business problems with innovative, scalable products.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders and support functions.
  • Mentor colleagues and facilitate professional development.
  • Manage resources and model lifecycle to ensure model performance and standards.
Job Requirements:

What can you bring to TD? Tell us about your most relevant experience, credentials, and knowledge, including:

  • Master's degree in data science, AI, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical skills in machine learning, data engineering, MLOps, cloud architecture, and software development.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and/or Scala, with cloud experience (Azure preferred).
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Scrum Master or equivalent.

Minimum years of experience:

  • Intermediate: at least five years delivering major data science projects in large organizations, with leadership experience.
  • Senior: at least seven years of experience.
