Arconic is currently in search of a Production Supervisor to join our Kawneer team based in Lethbridge.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager. Supervisors provide leadership, coaching, and clear direction to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, problem-solving, waste elimination, and goal achievement. Under the Plant Manager's leadership, this role supervises, schedules, and leads a team to meet departmental goals, supporting OTIF and quality targets. The role emphasizes applying EHS knowledge to promote an injury-free culture and driving process improvements for operational excellence and cost competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Possess strong knowledge of lean manufacturing systems (ABS), Production Control, and Quality Systems.
  • Understand manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Safety policies.
  • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute improvement plans.
  • Resolve problems by identifying root causes and preventing recurrence.
  • Communicate effectively within and outside the team.
  • Maintain production and quality assurance records.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to the team.
  • Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Handle employee and labor relations issues, including grievances and contract administration.
  • Meet or exceed production goals related to output, safety, delivery, and people initiatives.
  • Implement Arconic Business System initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or a related environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Quality Systems, and production planning principles.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering, or Business.
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and JDE.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Aspirations for growth into senior roles.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of the architectural aluminum industry and production processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
