Randstad is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate to join our client's team in Edmonton. This is a physically demanding role requiring consistent lifting and working in a dusty environment. The ideal candidate will possess a sit-down forklift certification and be eager to learn and contribute to a team environment. This position offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to become a lead hand within 6 months. WE are looking for a person with Team lead experience or the skill set to grow into that.

Position Details

• Position: Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator
• Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Salary: $22.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
• Location: Edmonton, AB T5S 1T8 (Not transit accessible)

Responsibilities

1. Operate a sit-down forklift (certification required) to move and transport materials.
2. Load and unload materials, consistently lifting 50 lbs.
3. Place pre-mix concrete into bags.
4. Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing the workspace (80% of the role).
5. Contribute to a team environment, proactively offering suggestions and solutions.
6. Maintain punctuality and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
7. Within 6 months, assume the responsibilities of a lead hand.

Qualifications

• Valid sit-down forklift certification is mandatory.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the workday.
• Experience working in a dusty environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
