Overview

The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric approach to engaging external resources, while balancing commercial needs with risk mitigation. This is achieved by:

  1. Utilizing internal contingent workforce experts who stay current on market intelligence.
  2. Acting as trusted advisors to educate, challenge, and advise the business on innovative solutions.
  3. Delivering a customer-centric approach that minimizes administrative efforts, anticipates needs, and fosters strong relationships with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada, with a virtual work opportunity (1-2 days in office per month may be required for meetings).

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will manage processes and resolve challenges related to external resources across Canada, handling over 1000 external resources annually. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and supporting Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
  • Handling complex cases and escalations independently.
  • Managing contract revisions, risk assessments, and negotiations, including dealing with classification, compliance, and legal matters.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts like Legal, Risk Management, Procurement, and others.
  • Managing high-risk cases related to legislative compliance, data security, immigration, and more.
Candidate Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Promote the CLO’s brand through a customer-centric approach.
  • Manage cases in KPMG’s vendor management system (Flextrack).
  • Train stakeholders on system use.
  • Conduct due diligence and document case details.
  • Manage complex cases involving negotiations, legal clauses, and risk assessments.
  • Support change management initiatives and improve processes.
Qualifications
  • College or University degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract labour or contingent workforce case management.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating third-party agreements.
  • Knowledge of immigration and related matters.
  • Bilingual in English and French, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle high volumes of cases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This role requires fluency in English, with support or collaboration in English as needed.

Compensation and Values
