Full Job Description

Location: 1210 Rue Volta, Boucherville, QC J4B 7M7

Position Summary:

This dieseltechnician/mechanic position at Penske is focused on providing topservice to our customers who have roadside assistance needs. Thisposition will be responsible for being able to diagnose and repair alltypes of maintenance issues on the truck in all weather conditions inthe safest manner on the side of the road.

Qualifiedcandidates will have prior, demonstrated experience in tractor trailerrepair and have proficiency in the use of all types of repair tools.Individuals must be willing to drive a Penske Road Assist vehicle thatis outfitted with tools and supplies.

MajorResponsibilities:

• Respond timely to road assist callsand repair units by identifying and determining: 1) parts requiringreplacement, and 2) warrantable repairs, documented appropriately.

• Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs thatcan be dropped quickly, as needed.

• Restock rapid assistvehicle with tools, parts, tires, or anything else required to performan effective road assist.

• Perform maintenance or repairs toroad assist vehicle as required.

• When not out on road calls,assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor.

• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• 2+ years practical experiencewith tractor trailer maintenance required

• Must be currentlyenrolled in an apprentice program

• Must maintainmembership/registration with respective Government Agencies

•Will consider candidates with a 310S license or automotive background

• Specialized training in the repair and replacement ofvehicle components preferred

• Proficiency in the use of shoptools required

• Current driver's license class 3 or DZ isrequired

• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry intomaintenance systems.

• Ability to work in non-climatecontrolled conditions required

• Regular, predictable, fullattendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingnessto travel as necessary within the district (customers yards, closegeographical area and training sites), work the required schedule,work at the specific location required, complete Penske employmentapplication, submit to a reference check.

This position isregulated by the Ministry of Transportation or designated as safetysensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant stateof alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must havethe ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well asthe safety of others.

• The associate must beable to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevatedworking platforms.

• The associate must be able to safely workin all weather conditions.

• Given the frequent movement oflarge trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to seeand hear in order to safely navigate the work environment.

•The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
