Job description

Pinchin is seeking an experienced GIS System Administrator to join the Integrated Digital Services (IDS) Team. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's Geographic Information System (GIS) infrastructure, overseeing GIS software, databases, and providing technical support and training to users.

What You’ll Do at Pinchin :
  1. Manage and administer GIS & ETL platforms, databases, and servers.
  2. Develop and implement GIS data management policies, standards, and procedures.
  3. Support and maintain Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server, and perform system upgrades.
  4. Document application user guides, work processes, and server configurations.
  5. Provide technical insights and recommendations for GIS policies and software purchases.
  6. Perform data acquisition, conversion, integration, and quality control tasks.
  7. Design and maintain GIS data layers, maps, and applications in Esri enterprise portal.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS & FME software, hardware, and data.
  9. Collaborate with IT to address GIS platform security needs.
  10. Stay current with GIS industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  11. Assist in GIS project development and implementation.
  12. Manage ArcGIS software patching cycles.
  13. Manage Active Directory objects for authentication and authorization.
  14. Integrate data from other systems to support customer requirements.
  15. Ensure data security and compliance with policies and laws.
  16. Understand and apply the ArcGIS and FME Products Life Cycle.
  17. Develop system processes, standards, and documentation.
  18. Code in SQL, JS, Python, and Arcade.
  19. Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring to Pinchin team
  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or Geography with at least 8 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, SDE) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in data integration, developing geodatabases, and managing geospatial datasets.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools such as FME.
  • Programming experience in Python, JS, or R, and SQL commands.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
